Cookies with Santa: Celebrating the Holiday Joy

Houston Moms was so incredibly excited to host our 4th Annual Cookies with Santa event on December 19th at Kelsey-Seybold Berthelsen Campus! The festive gathering gave us the first chance to do an in-person celebration in almost two years! Everyone, including Santa himself, was excited to spread holiday cheer with our holly and jolly masks on, to avoid spreading anything else.

With fun activities like cookie decorating and swag goodies galore, this year’s event was one for the books, and we were thankful for another successful Houston Moms family-friendly event!

We want to take some time to thank our amazing title sponsor for this event. We partnered with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic again this year to put on this incredible event. Kelsey-Seybold has created healthcare excellence that Houstonians have known and loved for years, and the clinic’s goal to deliver high-quality, comprehensive medical care with a dose of much needed TLC and personal attention is always reached. Over 30 clinics throughout the Houston area, along with cancer and surgical centers and pharmacies to meet your medical needs, Kelsey- Seybold truly strives to provide compassionate health care.

Thanks to Kelsey-Seybold, we were able to host Cookies with Santa in a Winter Wonderland!

The incredible venue was perfect for kids and parents alike to socially distance and enjoy! The Igloo Building station was a hit, and Holiday Bowling left kiddos excited ready for Christmas. And the swag! Oh, Kelsey-Seybold provided so much fun swag, ranging from glow sticks to beach balls, and tote bags to cram full of fun! What would we have done without the generosity of one of the Greater Houston area’s most trusted names in medicine?

And you can’t have Cookies with Santa without cookies, and Kelsey-Seybold connected us with the perfect, paintable cookies for little ones to decorate.

The grown-ups didn’t want to miss out on cookies, and Common Bond Bistro & Bakery made huge chocolate chip cookies to satisfy any sweet tooth!

We also had delicious eats provided by that satisfied hungry tummies after they visited Santa! Dish Society provided deconstructed pot pies for all to enjoy! Absolutely delicious!

Shout out to our table sponsors who helped provide the Houston community with activities and much needed information.

Texas Swim Academy, a great go-to for swim lessons and survival swim skills, joined in on the fun, and even provided letters for children to fill out and send to Santa!

Kids explored their artistic sides with a fun activity from Artopiatogo, an incredible facility that hosts art-based themed parties and events! Doesn’t a birthday party full of painting and creating sound like a blast?

We were visited by the Heights’ Kids Day of Music, where we learned more about the music festival that focuses on inspiring children to love and engage in music and the arts. The festival will be held on March 26 from 10AM-2PM, at Love Park, and you certainly don’t want to miss it!

All of these local sponsors are great for helping your kids hone their crafts and skills and stay busy. Their extracurricular classes help educate and motivate children while creating healthy outlets after being home for the holidays. We appreciate the services these sponsors provide, and Cookies with Santa would not have been the same without them.

Looking for some support and involvement for your kiddos as they grow and learn? Super Speech SolutionsThe Learning Experience, and The YMCA of Houston also sponsored our event and helped visitors gain a little understanding about local educational, extracurricular and enrichment programs!

Family travel may be a bit more nerve-wracking now more than ever, but thank goodness for The Magic for Less Travel, another incredible sponsor who can make vacations planning so much easier! {Who’s up for a Disney trip? Anyone? Just me?}

The home buying process is a cinch with Nicole Pepper and Steel Door Realty, one of our favorite table sponsors, who can deal with the current housing market with ease and help Houstonians move from their houses into their forever homes.

Our venue was made even more beautiful thanks to the skills of Exclusively Taylored Events and Card My Yard! They really know how to deck the halls! From exquisite balloons decor and fun yard signs, our event looked even more stunning and joyous! Keep each in mind for your next celebration!

We are so grateful for the special giveaway items from Dough a Deer, Houston’s source of homemade playdough playsets, for our sensory loving families!

And what’s a stunning event with great table sponsors, decor and Santa without even more stunning photography to document it all? We were so honored to have Lifetime of Clicks Photography snapping photos of our Cookies with Santa event! Houston Moms have been raving about Lifetime of Clicks since we had our headshots and team photos taken by Kelly in her glorious studio! Cookies with Santa was one more opportunity for us to fall in love with her work!

And this year’s additional swag was nothing short of a Christmas miracle!

H-E-B, Texas’ favorite grocery store, really came through with a true spirit of giving. So many fantastic items for kiddos to enjoy and play with!

Modern Burlap even graced us with “Oh, holy night” muslin swaddle blankets that double as wall art. Perfect for your nursery during the holiday season and beyond!
