We Love Dating! {Date Night Recap + Giveaway}

Please Note :: We must start by giving a tremendous thank you to each of the sponsors who made this event all possible!  Find out more info on each of them below, and then we encourage you to connect with them, support them, and tell them we sent you.  After all – without them, there is no way that we would be able to do ALL that we do!!

Great night with old friends — check. Great night with new friends — check. Great night with some amazing sponsors — check. And, most of all, great night with our spouses — check, check!

Date Night - 1

We’re still riding on a high from the first ever Houston Mom’s Blog Date Night a few weeks ago. Me personally, I think this might have been my most favorite event to date!

Date Night - 2

Our wonderful host, Santikos Palladium AVX, was an absolute dream to work with for this event. Not only did they help us pull it off seamlessly, they have the most perfect date night venue. They offer it all — bowling for those looking for some action, state of the art movie theaters, dining and drinks both in and outside of the theatre, and a number of lounging areas for those just wanting to have an intimate, kid-free, conversation. The entire venue is trendy, modern but comfortable, and super clean — this is not your typical movie theatre. The drinks were flowing and did not disappoint. And the food was all kinds of delicious.  After walking the red carpet, eating, sipping, socializing, and shopping, date night attendees also watched the newly-released film The Longest Ride.

Date Night - 3

We could not have asked for better sponsors for this date night event. Stefanie O’Neal with KEEP Collective was on hand selling her assortment keepsake jewelry and accessories. I knew the ladies in attendance would love this sponsor, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the men in attendance over at the KEEP Collective table picking out pieces of “keys and keepers” for their wives too.

We’ve partnered with The Alexrad Clinic many times before, and as always, we were excited to have them present at our date night as another generous sponsor. We love their natural approach to improving and brightening the lives of many around the greater Houston area — especially the hand they’ve played in helping many Houston area women become moms … especially several of our very own writers.  In case you missed it, be sure to check out Kristine’s amazing experience with them here.

Date Night - Operation Homefront

We asked attendees to bring in donation items for Operation Homefront‘s Back To School Brigade, and you guys, we without a doubt have some of the most generous readers. Backpack after backpack and bag after bag full of school supplies rolled in throughout the night. We love your generosity and the way you support our local community so well. Thank you, guys!

Momma’s Gonna SNAP came with camera in hand {and hubby in tow!} to document all the fun. We love Amanda’s eye, her personable personality, and her willingness to partner with us here at Houston Moms Blog again and again and again.  Aren’t all of these pictures just stunning?

Date Night - 4

A number of amazing partners provided fabulous giveaway items that were up for grabs.  We appreciate Yellow Rose Distilling, The Boardroom SalonThe Woodlands Resort, and iFly Houston for supplying some very lucky moms and dads with incredible take homes.  Verilux, Lay-n-Go, Sprouts, See’s Candies, and Rebekah Harrah of Advocare also got in on the giveaway fun.  And finally, with Block Island Organics, Kitcheniq, Heilala Vanilla, and Kitchen 101 on board with giveaway items, the degree of excitement spreading among the faces of the winners was fun to see. We love to see our attendees so happy!

Date Night - Swag

Each couple left with a swag bag filled with fabulous goodies. From sweet treats from Surf Sweets, Imperial Sugar, and See’s Candies, to delicious KIND bars and spicy peppered salsa from Casa Morales, each swag bag was sure to hit on all taste buds.  Fresh Wave, Kitcheniq, Kleenhanz, and ViSalus topped it off by sending each couple home with even more special treat and goodies to use around the house.

This was our first HMB date night event, and we’re determined that it will not be our last. We all left a little reluctantly which is a sign of a great time, and we loved getting the spouses involved for this one. Thank you, readers, for supporting Houston Moms Blog by attending events.  If you haven’t already, be sure to grab a ticket for our upcoming Mom’s Night Out at Langford Market too!  {Think Caribbean eats, cool drinks, exclusive shopping discounts, chair massages, a make-up/braid bar, and sooo much more…}  Our goal here is to provide resource for moms and families and to connect as many moms together as possible. Plus, we love to connect with you all too!

To keep the fun going — we have a giveaway for YOU.  One lucky mama will win the FULL date night swag bag…PLUS, four tickets from Santikos!  Because this swag bag is overflowing with goodies {some of which are edible!}, you must be available for local pick-up in and around central Houston.  Enter below and share this post with all of your friends so that they can have an opportunity to win too!  {As always, you will get extra entries if you do!}

Tiffanie, originally from East Texas, has called Houston home for over 10 years now. She and her husband met during undergraduate studies at Stephen F. Austin State University. They have one son, Preston {Jan 2011}, who was born with a very rare congenital heart condition and underwent a very successful open heart surgery at Houston's own Texas Children's Hospital when he was just two days old. In October 2013, Tiffanie welcomed a daughter, Hadley, into this world. She adores seeing life and this great city through the eyes of her children. She is a practicing physician assistant, passionate about Endocrinology and diabetes. Committed to connecting moms and families to all the fabulousness of this great city, Tiffanie started serving as our Sponsorship Coordinator in January 2014. Her days are now filled to the brim with taking care of her family, her patients, fielding sales calls, and scheduling sponsored posts. Her favorite pasttimes include drinking a full-bodied glass of red, retail therapy, a nice long run, and being near a beach - water soothes her.
