Don’t Be an Easter ‘Basket Case’ :: Toddler Basket Guide Tailored to Your Shopping Style

Every year as we prepare for Easter, we run into the same dilemma as the Christmas stocking. What do we fill it with? Your toddler will be excited to get a basket, but we also know a basket full of just candy is not really going to cut it for the tiny people in our life. I mean, they would probably love that, but toddler sugar poops are a real thing, and nobody has time for that or the soon to follow sugar meltdown. Your Easter basket content can totally mesh with your usual shopping style. Some of us live for the thrill of aisle perusing, and others need to cyber shop exclusively. This Toddler Easter Basket Guide has you all covered.

The Thrifty Mom ::

You have a budget and no Easter Bunny is about to blow it. You are ready to troll the aisles of Dollar Tree. Dollar Tree brought a strong game this Easter, you won’t be disappointed.

The Mom to Kiddos with Special Needs ::

We know you have to be extra creative and diligent in your choices to be adaptive to your child’s needs. You are used to that extra thought going into every purchase for your toddler. We see you and know your shopping style takes some work! Your toddler may have developmental, sensory, physical, or other health issues such as food allergies that guide your shopping. Here are a few ideas of items to fill in your toddlers basket.

Cat and Jack brand at Target has a great line of adaptive clothing. The clothing is tagless, has flat seams, and comes in fun designs. Throw a cute shirt or two into your toddler’s basket. {Here’s a 20% off Cat and Jack code!}

Small plush pillows or stuffed animals that are covered in flip sequins. They are mesmerizing and a sensory playland.

The Practical Mom ::

Functionality and Purpose. You in a nutshell. You need to check off something from your to do list when getting your Easter swag together. Spring is here and Summer is around the corner. Your people need things.

Swimwear and swimming accessories are a creative basket filler that get you ready for Summer. Target has a great selection of toddler swimwear and these adorable and functional puddle jumper life jackets can be found on Amazon in several design options. Goggles, sunscreen, and a cute beach towel would finish off your basket nicely. If you want to get really cute about it, throw in some sand toys.

Laura A. is a small town girl who loves her family fiercely. She married her high school sweetheart, Mark, in 2007 while they were finishing college at Stephen F. Austin State University. After graduating from SFA they landed in Katy. They have been blessed with two kiddos:: Amelia {2012} and Owen {2015}. Laura is a Jesus loving, bright lipstick wearing, food allergy advocating, lover of cooking ball of sass! If you see Laura rolling in her minivan and dancing like a lunatic it is because her playlist is cycling between Ludacris and Lauren Daigle. Because balance. If she is not with family or at work, you can almost always find her at Hobby Lobby or Target. If you even whisper the word craft in her presence she will approach you and ask to join you. Don’t be alarmed, this is totally normal. Crafting is her love language. She is convinced Jesus used a heavy hand of glitter when he designed her because she believes the world could always use a little extra sparkle. She has a suspicion that same bottle of glitter was totally used on Dolly Parton {they might be soul sisters}. Having a Dolly level wardrobe of sequins could be on her to do list. You can follow Laura on Instagram {@laurabethacosta} to peek into what all of this craziness looks like on the daily.
