Easter Basket Ideas for Elementary Aged Kids

It’s almost Easter, and this year I am not waiting until the last minute to find items to fill my elementary aged children’s Easter baskets! As they have gotten older, I’ve gotten a teensy bit better at planning these kinds of things ahead- and also a bit more creative with their basket ideas.

child with bunny ears on sits in grass holding Easter basket full of colored eggsI’ve been thinking all year about how to keep the magic in this part of Easter for my older child, especially now that he knows who the Easter Bunny is…shh!

I broke this list of Easter basket ideas for elementary school-aged children down by general interests, and these are just my basic ideas. I hope this gift round-up leaves you feeling inspired to make your “big kid” baskets extra fun this year- and don’t forget the candy! Reese’s Eggs and Starburst Jelly Beans for me, please 😉

Practical

I always grab a few practical things to round out the fun stuff- this year, my children are getting electric toothbrushes in their baskets this year– along with a boatload of Easter candy. It’s called “balance.”

Don’t get too deep with it: pajamas, socks, hygiene products, water bottles, hand sanitizer {especially fun scents like these}, a lanyard for their school tag, new hair brush— gifting some items that will actually get a lot of use always makes me feel better about indulging in some less useful purchases for their Easter baskets.
