Calling all nature-loving songwriters! At night a chorus of insects explodes into song, chirping and stridulating till dawn. Spend the first Wednesday of every month at the Arboretum finding some of these interesting insects and sharing your songs. Space is limited for this unplugged songwriter circle, so advance registration is encouraged.
Please arrive by 6 pm. The Arboretum entrances close at dusk and will not be left open for latecomers. We will meet at the Nature Center building and then head out onto the trails to share our songs. The route will be marked with arrows, and we will bring a light source with us for visibility. If it is raining, the Arboretum will hold the songwriters circle inside.
This event is 21 and up, and each ticket includes two beverages. While the Arboretum loves kids and dogs, please leave them at home for this event. A “house guitar” will be provided if people do not have an instrument. The circle will work like an unplugged open mic, and a sign-up list with time slots will be available at check in.
