Tea drops in kettles and pecans on waffles
A scoop of raw cookie and my favorite novel
Unseen ghouls waiting in the wings
These are a few of my favorite things…

In the Air

White Barn candle Pumpkin Pecan Waffle scent

{Deep inhale.} Fall is my favorite. I love the food, décor, and the sweaters that hide what the food leaves behind. I’ll take it all. I’m not normally a “sweet & sticky” scent kind of person, but Pumpkin Pecan Waffles from Bath & Body Works has won my soul. {My mom is now addicted, too.} It doesn’t overly imply that I’ve been {falsely} baking in the kitchen all day, but leaves just enough warm hints to make you curious.

I’ve used the plugin and the candle and either way—it creates an envelope of fall inside. Even if the outside temps argue sometimes.

In the Kitchen

Possibly the only area of my life where I’ve embraced the rebel spirit is when it comes to raw cookie dough. I stare that “do not consume” warning right in the face and defiantly pop those pre-made squares into my mouth. I haven’t been in the ER yet {knock on wood}, and who’s to say some of my problems can’t be blamed on that—but it’s totally worth it.

But then, right there in the aisle of Costco—I met my match. A TUB of Pillsbury edible chocolate chip cookie dough. Yes! You read that correctly. You can bake it, freeze it, hide in the glow of the refrigerator light and scoop it… And, because it’s Costco, you can get nearly five pounds. Which may or may not last you a month or two. Go ahead mama, grab a spoon.

In Your Cup

I am a tea person. I positively adore fun mugs, steam rising, and the sound of a kettle signaling that my next round of flavored deliciousness is now ready. I have no shortage of tea samplings strewn about—from classic Earl Grey to Moroccan mint—but my latest obsession comes in precious pressed shapes.

Tea Drops are pre-sweetened {they also have unsweet}, organic whole leaf tea shaped into whimsical drops that melt when they meet your warm cup. Some of the packs even come in delightful wooden boxes. Among my current fave flavors are matcha green tea, chai spice, and vanilla white tea.

Pour, drop, enjoy!

In the Home Office

Having to create a makeshift home office space took several months. But one thing I didn’t sacrifice was the chotskies that make my work area more entertaining—and comfortable. I not only write for fun, but I also write for work. Which means my hands are often angry with me. The COZLOW Hand & Finger Massage Roller is great for a little break and helps with stress, pain, and blood circulation.

During your scheduled breaks, take a minute to work out those hand muscles. I especially like to roll out that fleshy area {totes scientific} at the base of my thumb.

Not guaranteed to ramp up your WPM, but it couldn’t hurt.

In the Queue

I often struggle with what to watch next. My husband and I are invested in a few series and then feel abandoned when they are over. However, The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix has my undivided attention. I haven’t quite figured out what makes creepy little Miles tick or why Flora’s faceless dolls are not so “perfectly splendid,” but I’m hooked.

Warning:: these ghosts are as subtle as they are overt. If you’re hoping to avoid a scare by casually focusing on the opposite corner of the screen, think again. You may be greeted by a slight movement or the flicker of eyes staring back at you.
