Happy Friday! Here are some goodies and gadgets that are keeping me sane during this time. Enjoy!

Baby Gear

We welcomed our second baby in August, and after hearing about this magic bed from friends, decided to invest in it this time around. The Snoo baby bed is basically a bassinet with sound activated movement and white noise. If your baby wakes and fusses, snoo will be the first line of defense to soothing them back to sleep so you don’t have to. I know it doesn’t work for every baby, but I will take my eight hour stretches with a three month old any day. Take all my money. Pro tip: rent one from the company for a few months rather than buying.

Podcast

Binge Mode is a podcast focusing on movies and books, they have covered Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and my personal favorite- Harry Potter. They’ve started a series on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it’s been lots of fun so far. Hearing about how the movies were created, casting decisions, and the lore behind superheroes made me excited to revisit the movies, which are very comforting during this time. Always good for a laugh, and the good guys always win. Yes please, 2020.

Movie/Soundtrack

My favorite movie of childhood now fully accessible on Disney Plus. Newsies stars teenage Christian Bale, *swoon* who leads a gang of newsboys in a strike going up against the big newspaper moguls in 1900s New York. The songs are catchy, the dancing is fun, and you might learn a little bit of Disney altered history. What’s not to love? I’ve been playing the soundtrack in the car on drives and belting out the songs as self care.

Coffee

I got this Yeti Coffee Cup for Christmas last year and it is giving me life as a mom of two. It is still shaped like a mug so I get that cozy mug feeling. It keeps my coffee warm for a super long time so I don’t have to keep microwaving it in between tending to children in the morning. AND it is dishwasher safe. I’m asking for a second one for Christmas this year because I literally use it every day.

Photo Prints

The Costco Photo Center is my go to for printing photos. I just ordered our Christmas cards from there (50 for under $15 can’t be beat) and they even do large prints. A 20 x 30 print costs about $10. You don’t have to be a member to use the photo center, and they ship directly to your home.
