HMB’s Book Club is…BACK!

We couldn’t let the summer approach without mentioning that Heather and Breonna will be hosting Houston Mom’s Blog Book Club once again.  New around here?  Not a problem!  Not much is required, and we know how busy everyone is – so it’s just one book a month selected by popular demand.

HMB Book Club

We are also planning to have a meet up at the end of the summer.  No formal “discussion questions” or anything to worry about.  Just want to meet some other book lovers in the city and talk about all the books we loved…and hated.  But for now, check out the books by clicking on the Goodread’s links, then be sure to vote below!

June Options…

** WINNER :: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. 336 pages. **

The Two of Us by Andy Jones. 400 pages.

The Paper Magician* by Charlie N. Holmberg. 224 pages.
{*Note :: This is the first in a trilogy.}

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. 460 pages.

We’re going to leave voting open for a week.  Then, we’ll announce the book and give you a month to read it!  Don’t worry, we’ll check in from time to time to make sure you’re on track.  Then in a few weeks, we will post our feelings and open up the discussion to you too!

You can connect with the HMB book club at any time!

Breonna B
Breonna was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is recently married to Tyrone, a graphic designer. They currently reside on the West Side of this great city. A big fan of movies, books, photography, and Starbucks, she currently finds herself knee-deep in the throes of being a mommy to Addy {Feb 2011}. Breonna spends the typical 9-5 doing yadda yadda yadda at her job {yes, it’s that nondescript and uninteresting}. She started blogging as a way to do movie reviews, but that gave way to pregnancy blogging. She eventually landed her own space of the internet on BreWrites as well as on Twitter and Instagram {@brewrites} where she talks about everything from the sassiness of her child, to the most recent concert tickets she got her hands on, to the occasional piece of short fiction.
