Houston Moms Blog is Thankful

This Thanksgiving and all of us at Houston Moms Blog are so. so. thankful.  There is no other way to sum it up!  We are humbled and honored and so overjoyed that you as a community of moms have rallied around us to help make our city a better place. When we set out to launch HMB less than three months ago, we had some pretty hefty goals.   But all of you have helped us more than exceed them.  You may not know it, but every share on social media, every comment on our posts, every kind word of encouragement – it helps us flourish and grow!  And more than anything, it truly means the world!!  So this holiday season, we hope that all of you know just how thankful we are for YOU!  Our followers, our neighbors, our friends.  This has been an amazing journey so far, and we are so glad that you are joining along.  It is only going to get better from here!

Thanksgiving

Now, let’s hear from each of our team members to see what else they are thankful for this season too.  These gals are fabulous, so this should be good…

Kelly ::

Thankful.  For quiet mornings spent snuggling on the couch with my babes.  For fun evenings spent surrounded by friends and family.  For new opportunities and for taking leaps of faith.  And for everything…and everyone…who has made me who I am today.  I am undeservingly blessed.

Becky ::

I’m thankful to finally have my post-partum depression gone! {See my recent post for more info.}

Breonna ::

This year I am particularly thankful for friends. The friends that make the work days go by quickly. The friends I don’t see often but never miss a beat with. The friends that have an interest in wedding planning.  The friends that I haven’t physically met in person but have an incredible bond with.

Chelsea ::

This year I am thankful for my husband, coffee, my family, coffee, my job, friends, home, and pup, coffee, being a part of the amazing Houston Moms Blog team, and most importantly the birth of my healthy and sweet little Jack…oh, and coffee!

Channing ::

I am thankful that every morning I get to wake up to the yell of my name down the hallway from 3 little girls ready to take on the day. I am thankful for a husband that loves and supports me. I am thankful for all of the family and friends that God has blessed us with. And most of all, I am thankful for Jesus!

Connie ::

I am most Thankful every year more and more for my beautiful family of 4! My husband and 2 children make me a very happy Houston mom. And of course, I am thankful for all my mommy friends and being able to share with them and learn from their experiences.

Heather ::

I’m thankful for a husband that doesn’t even have to ask if I want chocolate after dinner.  For every time my daughter’s face lights up when I see her.  And for every minute we get to spend with our families, especially during the holidays.

Jana ::

I am thankful for so many things, but one of the biggest ones lately is the love and support from family and friends since the birth of our second little one. We have had lots of help and we have been blessed with so many meals over the past month!

Jenn ::

In this season of thanks, I am grateful for two babies to hold, a wonderful soul to walk beside on our life’s journey, friends and family who offer love and support without end, and a God who loves me just because each and every moment of my life.

Jessica ::

I’m thankful for my 3 happy, healthy babies, the best life co-pilot EVER, and the greatest village of family and friends I couldn’t have possibly dreamed up if I tried!

Meg ::

I have so much to be thankful for – from my husband and daughter, to my family, friends, job, and the roof over my head. God is so good to me!

Michelle A ::

I’m so thankful for a few days off to spend quality time with my son and husband, I’m thankful for my family’s health and well-being, and I am thankful for the family and friends that keep me sane and grounded!

Michelle T ::

I am thankful for my family and all the exciting changes we have coming our way. Things have been changing what seems like non stop since the twins arrived, and we are excited to see what God has in store for the Tanner family. I am thankful for HMB and the sense of community and family I have found here both with my fellow contributors and with our readers. I have made some amazing friendships so far, and I look forward to growing those in the next year.

Misty ::

This Thanksgiving, I’m especially thankful for the struggles that God has allowed in my life.  They’ve made me ‘see’ with a much more grateful, thankful heart and realize how truly BIG my blessings are.

Sarah ::

I am thankful for amazing family and friends who fill in the gaps, big healthy baby boys, and husbands giving 120%.

Tiffanie ::

In love and so very thankful for the health and well-being of my new little family of four this Thanksgiving.  My cup runneth over. Psalm 23:5

Kelly D
Kelly is the founder of Houston Moms Blog and has lived in this beautiful city nearly all of her life. She has a degree in education from Texas State University and was honored to teach special education for eight years to some of the cutest little kiddos you could ever meet. While teaching, Kelly met Cody – a tall drink of water and country boy to the core – and together, they fell in love, got married, and decided to start a family. In March 2011, they welcomed Hayes into the world, a silly but smart little boy with a story you have to read to believe. And in April 2013, their family was complete with the addition of Hadley, a super gregarious and oh-so-cute baby girl. Now, Kelly devotes her days to caring for her own little ones…and would not trade this new job of hers for the world! In her not-so-spare time, Kelly loves meeting up with her girlfriends for margaritas, failing miserably at Pinterest projects, and exploring this big old city with her two favorite little side-kicks in tow.
