Let’s Make it Through May: How IV Therapy Can Benefit Busy Moms

We are proud to partner with ThrIVe Drip spa to share the benefits of IV therapy with busy Houston moms.

Ask any mom, and she will tell you that the month of May is insane. We’re nearing the end of the school year, but before we get to those blissful first days of summer, there is just so much to do. We have end-of-year teacher gifts to purchase, field trips to chaperone, awards ceremonies to attend…not to mention keeping ourselves and our kids motivated as we all limp to the finish line. It’s exhausting and we could all use a pick-me-up.

For me personally, I’ve been feeling sluggish lately. It seems no matter what I do, I’m always tired. My skin looks dull. I’m anxious and short with my kids, which is not fair to them. And besides the usual self-care checklist- getting enough sleep, eating well, exercise- I felt like I needed something more to help get me through these next few weeks of busyness. That’s why I am thrilled that I was able to try IV therapy at ThrIVE Drip Spa.

What is IV Therapy?

When we take oral vitamins or supplements, the body tends to absorb less than 40% of the nutrients from the pill. With IV therapy, the nutrients are administered directly, encouraging 100% nutrient absorption.

ThrIVe Drip Spa has 12 signature IV Drips, and during my visit, I was able to customize my bag with additional boosters to target specific issues I was having. I chose the Myers Drip, which includes 1 liter of fluids, electrolytes, Vitamin C, Magnesisum, B-Complex, and B-12. And after consulting with the staff about my lethargy, anxiety, and dull skin, they recommended the boosters Glutathione, Biotin, Taurine, and Proline.

The ThrIVE Drip Spa Experience

Then a nurse administered an IV to my arm (she was gentle and it was nearly painless) and I was left to relax while the vitamins, minerals, and fluids dripped from the bag into my bloodstream.

The whole process took less than 45 minutes, and the staff at ThrIVE Drip Spa was so kind to answer all my questions and make sure I was comfortable the entire time I was receiving my drip. When the bag was empty, the nurse removed the IV, wrapped a bandage on my arm, and I was free to go. It was so quick and easy, and I truly relaxed while I was there.

After my IV therapy appointment, I headed straight to a field trip for my daughter’s 3rd grade class, and I felt energized, and hydrated, and my mood was definitely improved from earlier that morning. And that night, I slept better than I had in months. I woke up feeling rested, and when I glanced in the mirror, my skin looked brighter and plumper.

I’ve read that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated, and I would bet money I am included in that majority. It is amazing what a difference just one bag of IV fluids made to my body and mental state!

I’m in my 40’s, and after delivering three kids, mild incontinence has become another one of my health issues. ThrIVe Drip Spa has a revolutionary new technology called EMSELLA to help strengthen the pelvic floor and prevent incontinence. Sitting in a chair for 20 minutes, the seat of the chair delivers electromagnetic frequency to cause the muscles in and around your pelvic floor to contract and release over and over again. This is equivalent to around 11,000 kegels in 20 minutes! Yes, please!
