If you have checked out our website recently {like our “About Me” pages about our Executive Team and our Contributing Team}, you may have seen some new faces! HMB has gone through some changes the last few months, including bringing on 20+ mamas with the most talented writing voices in our great city. But what hasn’t changed is Houston Mom’s Blog commitment to all things motherhood echoed in our vision ::

We are a locally focused parenting website written BY area moms, FOR area moms.

We are passionate about our community and the moms who live here, and our goal is to make this big city that we all live in feel just a little bit smaller.

So let’s introduce you to the new{ish} owners :: Jarred King and Meagan Clanahan. Meagan has been with HMB for over 4 years, first as a Contributor turned Project Coordinator, and now happily functioning as a co-owner with a passion for reaching moms and interacting with our amazing sponsors and partners! Jarred {Yes, you read that right :: City Moms Blog Network now has the very first DAD owner!} is our other co-owner who also owns and operates a highly successful marketing firm in Houston. He is our tech-extraordinaire, numbers dude, and all around stand up Dad who understands what our community of moms needs. They are so excited about the future of HMB and cannot wait to bring you the latest and greatest. {Hint :: exciting announcements coming this summer, so keep an eye out!}

Our Executive Team is basically the Dream Team assembled to bring us the best content, events, projects, and more! Elizabeth is our Managing Editor. It is no joke when we say that she is our driving force behind organizing our great content and getting it all there for you mommas on the regular. Our Sales and Resource Team is comprised of :: Chelsea P {our long-standing HMB veteran!}, Brittney F, and Kimberly W. They are always on the hunt for partnerships with fun, engaging, and awesome businesses around town that we know you’ll love. On the Administration side, we have our Project Coordinator, Jennifer H. She helps with organizing the blog, different projects we have going on, and really, whatever else Jarred and Meagan ask her to do! Ann H. is the one that happily designs it all as our Graphic Designer. They also churn out some amazing content, so click on their links and listen to their voices shape Houston Moms.

Our Contributing Team has exploded with TONS of new voices, personalities, and love! Each one of them comes with a different point of view and background that makes Houston Moms Blog so very special. The one thing that defines and unites them? They are PASSIONATE about Motherhood and you! Click on their individual bios to find out more about these fantastic mamas…

So with this new group of fabulous mamas, we just HAD to take new head shots and duh, we needed the BEST. We are thrilled that  Bryan Malloch Photography so graciously agreed to capture these beautiful images of our team. And if we do say so ourselves, we are looking mighty good {and super colorful!} We adore how these pictures truly look  quintessential Houston with Buffalo Bayou in the background framed by the Houston skyline. Swoon. And let’s talk about how efficient Bryan was in moving 30+ ladies through the head shot process, plus getting fantastic group shots. It takes a special kind of photographer to keep all of that organized {and keep us calm, because let’s face it, not many people just LOVE having a camera in their face. As moms, we are usually taking the pics and not the subject, so his reassurance meant the world for our confidence!}

And if you haven’t checked out Bryan’s website or his Instagram, drop everything and look at it now. His photography is mixed with his love of Houston and his love of vibrant color. His social channels are full of aerial shots of Houston, family shots, architecture, portraits, and more. Bryan says :: “I’ve always had an affinity for interesting and captivating images.  Whether it was a perfectly composed landscape or a colorful, abstract shot of daily life, I was intrigued.  In 2015 I finally decided to indulge this passion and get serious about training and technique.” He loves “capturing important life moments as much as I enjoy getting to photograph enchanting landscapes here.” {Psssssttt :: You can actually purchase iconic Houston prints and more on his website. We think it’s a perfectly unique gift for that special someone!}

Thank you, Bryan, for being absolutely seamless to work with. You have the Houston Moms Blog stamp of approval and we hope our readership will contact you the next time they are looking to capture special moments in their lives. We certainly will treasure these shots!

Jennifer is a native outside-the-loop’er growing up and living in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. She has a Bachelors in theology and political science from Texas Lutheran University and a Masters in Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. She and her husband Greg met in 2010 through Match.com and fell in love on their first date. They married exactly one year later and have fought lovingly and constantly since. They have two amazingly brilliant girls, Kaitlyn {June 2013} and Elizabeth {June 2015} who Jen stays home with during the day. When Jen is not curled in a little ball rocking back and forth with Peppa Pig on in the background, she can be found crafting with her Silhouette and/or binge watching The Office for the millionth time. Jen has an uncanny ability to be comfortable in almost any situation put in front of her, thanks to growing up in politics and on the debate team. Before having kids of her own, she had the opportunity to help other kids through teaching, youth ministry, and generally being a helpful, kind soul.
