sphere: Game-Changing Workouts for the Whole Family

We are proud to partner with sphere to share with Houston Moms how both they and their kids can participate in amazing workouts together while also having fun!

sphere huddleMy kids know that health and fitness are important values in our family. I am intentional about teaching them that moving their bodies is important, both for their physical and mental well-being. I try to model body positivity every day, and this includes them seeing me exercise, and whenever possible, exercising with them. None of us play soccer competitively, but we love kicking the ball around together. I have found that this is a great way to break a sweat and for the kids to burn off some of their endless energy. This is why I was thrilled to learn about sphere, a different kind of workout experience for the whole family, based on the sport of soccer.

Game-Changing Workouts

sphere’s Houston headquarters offers the most game-changing atmosphere and workout experience, for both adults and kids. They offer all kinds of workouts and opportunities for people to come together and form community. This includes indoor and outdoor activities, classes, and community events. After doing some research, I’ve found two fitness programs that are a perfect fit for our family:

45

group of teammates wearing pink jerseysOftentimes, I am intimidated by fitness classes, because I am never the most athletic or skilled. But this workout, for adults, consists of 45 minutes without the ball. It is designed to reflect a soccer preseason and welcomes all new players to the club regardless of skill and fitness ability. This workout increases endurance, agility, strength, and power with their game-changing team concept and class. Yes, please.

They foster an environment that enables parents and their minis to bond and share in an experience like no other. My kids are so excited that we are going to be able to do this workout together as a family. They are also thrilled to learn that sphere also offers kids’ birthday parties, and have already started planning theirs, months in advance.

Community and Inclusion

group socializing at sphereIn addition to fitness, our family prioritizes community and inclusion in every activity that we do. We are always looking for opportunities to meet new friends to share experiences with. This is why sphere is such a great fit for us.

sphere is here to change the game. They don’t care about the color of your cleats, style of play, or position off the field. They do much more with a ball than just score goals. This is where players become friends, friends become teammates, and teammates become family.

I love the focus on community and bringing teammates together. Every month on the 17th, sphere closes their studio but gets together in the community to do activities like rock climbing or frisbee golf. And on Earth Day (April 22), they gather in the community to clean up public parks. Wow!

I am inspired by the testimonials I’ve read about sphere, both from clients and the staff. One staff member put it perfectly: I’ve been towing my kids around to soccer practices and games for years and it never dawned on me to get in the game. What Mike has created and what sphere is all about is connection, community, fitness, and fun. I was hooked halfway into my first experience and that atmosphere fuels me throughout the week.

2022 is a World Cup year, and I can’t think of a better way to get my kids excited about soccer as well as fitness and making new friends than signing up for classes at sphere!
