The Perfect Moms’ Night Out with Performing Arts Houston

We are proud to partner with Performing Arts Houston to bring you information about their fun-filled events in the area!

I’m always up for time with my friends. Rain or shine, tired or busy, I still need time with them. It’s an important part of self care! Relaxing, laughing and connecting with my girls is mandatory for my sanity at times. Suddenly the frustrations of the day are put into perspective because we can all relate to dealing with a whiny kid (or husband!) or  getting through a sleepless night. Usually these times with my friends are pretty simple- meeting up for a walk, a playdate with the kids, maybe dinner out. But it’s even more exciting when we can do something a little different, a little special, something just for us.

The Perfect Moms’ Night Out

Performing Arts Houston has the perfect event coming up for a mom’s night out. My Name is NOT Mom, playing September 9th and 10th, is described as a hilarious journey through motherhood with internet sensations Tiffany Jenkins, Meredith Masony, and Dena Blizzard. After helping millions of fans get through the pandemic, this comic trio shares their take on mothering through the sleepless nights of the toddler years, middle school craziness and trying not to physically attack a high schooler.

Nothing has ever sounded more relatable. This special live event features stand-up, stories and videos from their online community and audience interaction.

Tiffany, Meredith, and Dena have over 11 million social media followers combined. And the fact that they’ve built this audience by bringing humor to the challenges of motherhood makes them all the more relatable. Join them live for a look back before motherhood and a celebration of what it looks like now. I can’t wait to leave the kids behind for a night out with my mom friends to see this one.

The Blue Man Group will be performing at Jones Hall Nov 5-6. With their signature drumming, colorful creativity, and quirky comedy- this is an all new show. I think my kids would love this one too.

Bethany Dufilho
Bethany, the daughter of an army chaplain and a special education teacher, grew up moving every 2-3 years. She considers herself an introvert who had to learn how to make friends quickly! She met her Houstonian husband, Paul, in college and they married in 2004. They first settled just north of Houston, where she earned her master's degree at Sam Houston State in School Psychology. After working in public education for a couple of years, she decided to stay home full time with their children, Charlie {2008}, Norah {2010}, and Will {2013}. The family moved to Katy in 2012, where they’ve been ever since. She loves decorating and even had her own small business for a while. She also loves to read, binge-watch old TV shows, talk politics and enneagram, and will not turn down a cup of strong coffee or a good conversation with a friend.
