10 Ways to Celebrate Teachers + Nominate Your Favorite for a Giveaway! This year, Teacher Appreciation Week runs from May 3rd-7th. In my former life as a kindergarten teacher, I had the pleasure of enjoying several amazing appreciation weeks. And now, as a former teacher, I’m here to give you the scoop on all the best ways to celebrate those special educators in your lives. Let’s gooooo!

  1. Homemade scrapbook– I was gifted the most incredible scrapbook at the end of my very first year of teaching. There were pictures of all of our memories from the year and it even included notes and illustrations from all of my students!
  2. Gift cards–  Gift cards are always useful. I received many over the years to lots of my favorite places! Gift cards to teacherspayteachers.com are especially useful!!
  3. Gifts to unwind– Teaching is such a rewarding profession but man-oh-man can it be stressful. This “Relax” gift box from Lush would be the perfect way to help your child’s teacher kick off summer.
  4. Personalized swag– I’m not sure about you, but I’ve yet to meet a teacher that doesn’t adore a good monogram. I was given a super cool customized Yeti Rambler by a student once and I still use it even today. This 14oz mug would be the perfect coffee cup and it can even be customized for an additional $5!
  5. Work tote– Teachers are forever hauling things back and forth from school. Another beloved gift that I received one year was this super useful LL Bean Zip-Top Tote. And… *squee*- it, too, can be monogrammed for an additional $8!
  6. Planners– I discovered Erin Condren teacher planners after I had been in the field for a few years. They are THE BEST. Any website that has a section of “Teacher Favorites” has got to be awesome, am I right?!
  7. Stationery– Teachers write a LOT of notes. I mean, a lot. So, you can’t go wrong with a gift of personalized stationery. Zazzle has some super cute designs; I personally love this notepad that is covered in crayons.
  8. Crafting tools– If the entire class is going in on a big ticket item, then consider picking up a Cricut Explore Air 2 from everyone! I wish I had had a Cricut when I was still in the classroom; these things can do it all: make stickers, design bulletin boards, cut stencils… the possibilities are endless!
  9. Special meal– Working lunches are common, everyday occurrences for teachers. And by “working lunch,” I mean run to the bathroom, check all your emails, respond to all your emails, wolf down your food, and set up for your next class quickly all within the span of about 20 minutes. Not even kidding. A hot, catered lunch would knock the socks off of any {exhausted} teacher’s feet. Find out her favorite restaurant and have her favorite meal delivered. She will be thrilled!!
  10. Last but not least- There is no better present at the end of the year than sitting down to a genuine, heartfelt note of thanks from a grateful parent. Y’all, after 9 years of teaching, I can truly say that teaching is a work of HEART. Educators put their all into their “work”- your babies!! A note of thanks is more meaningful than you know, and this beautiful letterpress card gives you the perfect way to deliver it.
