Houston Moms "Cookies with Santa:: A Virtual Success" #houstonmoms #houstonmomsblog #momsaroundhouston

We were SO excited to host our annual Cookies with Santa on December 5th and 13th at Kelsey Seybold’s Katy and Tanglewood Campus – and while the event looked different than we had planned, thank you 2020, we were able to get have an amazing time during the pickups and Virtual Santa story time. It was so great to see so many smiling {behind the mask} Houston families!!!

We want to first take the time to thank our amazing sponsors for this event. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic was this year’s Title Sponsor! From primary care doctors and OB/GYNs who guide your overall health to specialists, including cardiologists, dermatologists, endocrinologists, and more, their ability to streamline and simplify your healthcare makes it easier for you to be there for others. This event would not have been possible without them!

Of course, we can’t have Cookies with Santa without cookies, so thanks to Dolce & Fini and Michael’s Cookie Jar for providing those delicious cookie decorating kits.

We would also like to thank, Tashia Beaty  {local author), who provided wonderful goodie bags for the kiddos at both events. Tashia Beaty is the author of Squilly Fixes the List in the Mist and Squilly Sorts it Out. She is an advocate for autism awareness and childhood literacy. She writes books that focus on diversity and inclusion that help promote acceptance of all children, as well as, bring awareness to autism.

We had the pleasure of getting items for you from Children’s Lighthouse, Bird’s Eye View Optometry, and 5 Vines Wine for all of the parents that drove through our pick-up locations. A huge thank you to those local businesses.

Thank you to Adventure Kids Playcare providing a fun Christmas Tree Ornament craft for your kiddos to take home from Cookies with Santa! Adventure Kids Playcare is a unique drop-in childcare and entertainment center for kids ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Whether you’re conquering your to-do list or enjoying a night out, your kids can play, explore, and learn in our fun and safe environment.

Tanglewood folks certainly did not go hungry with Mendocino Farms {Uptown Park} sending you home with yummy bites from their incredible sandwich market. Those adult boxes and kids sack lunches were incredible!

The Virtual Santa experience was a down-right blast and your kiddos asked the most amazing questions to Santa. It was such a joy to be able to bring that into your homes for the evening– albeit virtually. It was such a magical experience that we are so thankful for.

And who can forget about the amazing kid-friendly Cookies with Santa swag bags with amazing goodies from brands including: Sticky LickitsGoGo SqueezeNext Level Urgent CareHEBSkiddiesModern BurlapKwik StixThe Pencil GripPrimal KitchenField Trip SnacksNight Light Pediatric Urgent Care, Rudolph’s Light Show and MORE! Kelsey Seybold, of course, has some amazing goodies to send you home with as well!

Thanks again to all of our amazing sponsors and those who were able to attend – especially with everyone’s patience during our pivots through the COVID pandemic. We hope you had an amazing time and are looking forward to the planning of next year’s Cookies with Santa. Happy Holidays from the Houston Moms Blog Team!
