School Supplies That You Won’t Find on Any Supplies List {and an Amazon Giveaway!}

By now you’ve gotten all of the school supplies from the list. If you haven’t, make it easy on yourself and check out the School List Assist! It’s the best tool ever that finds your school, the supplies they’ve set for your grade levels, and compiles a shopping list that you can add to your shopping cart with just a few clicks. Easy!

But, this isn’t really a post about notebooks, folders, glue, or scissors. This is a post about the school supplies your kid needs that you WONT find on any school list.

Amazon has surely made our lives so much better, hasn’t it? They have also upped their school supplies so our shopping is easy-peasy.

Check out this list and let us know what you would add ::

Like it or not, your kid will need their own laptop this year. If you are getting a laptop, you might as well spring for the external hard drive so they can keep all of their papers and documents in the same place. They will likely need a printer and one that will last a long time. I added wireless headphones to the list so that you don’t have to listen to their music all day long. You’re welcome!

You have to teach your kid organization this year! It will be an easy task with these items :: a daily planner, a yearly planning kit with journal, a Bento Box to organize their lunches, and the classic {but necessary} Sticky Notes

This will be the longest section and you already know why! These kids are coming home from school STARVING and you need to prepare for it! Here are some yummy and nutritious snacks that we recommend ::

Health and Wellness

You know what else they don’t put on the school supply list or tell you at the Parent Informational Nights? That your precious baby will come home with germs and sickness! Here are some things we recommend to help with that sickness ::

Jennifer is a native outside-the-loop’er growing up and living in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. She has a Bachelors in theology and political science from Texas Lutheran University and a Masters in Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. She and her husband Greg met in 2010 through and fell in love on their first date. They married exactly one year later and have fought lovingly and constantly since. They have two amazingly brilliant girls, Kaitlyn {June 2013} and Elizabeth {June 2015} who Jen stays home with during the day. When Jen is not curled in a little ball rocking back and forth with Peppa Pig on in the background, she can be found crafting with her Silhouette and/or binge watching The Office for the millionth time. Jen has an uncanny ability to be comfortable in almost any situation put in front of her, thanks to growing up in politics and on the debate team. Before having kids of her own, she had the opportunity to help other kids through teaching, youth ministry, and generally being a helpful, kind soul. You can check out more about Jen on IG @themommymiddle.
