Fun + Learning + Summer = Fusion

We are excited to be partnering with Fusion Academy to bring you this sponsored post. If your tween / teen is looking for summer learning, then they are going to love the flexible and unique options at Fusion!

It’s no secret that we here at Houston Moms Blog love Houston’s Fusion Academy.  We have worked with Fusion Academy for a couple of years now, and we’ve even highlighted them as a great local option for when traditional schooling just doesn’t work.  But today, as we segue into summer, we are over the moon to introduce you all to Elizabeth Beguerie, Fusion Academy’s Head of School, so she can personally share more about Fusion Houston Galleria and all that they have planned for summer…

About Fusion Academy

Currently Fusion Houston Galleria has over 45 students, ranging from 6th – 12th grade. All students are taught in a one-to-one classroom, with a wide variety of students enrolled for a number of different reasons.  However, the main reasons are 1} a traditional environment doesn’t fit or 2} they are needing a flexible schedule. Fusion is known for its state of the art music room, exploratory science lab, “zen”tastic yoga studio, and inspiring art program. All homework stays on campus, and students do their homework in a cool homework café. Teachers are able to meet the child where they are at and help foster that love of learning.

Summers at Fusion

With summer here, Fusion is seeing a lot of families wanting to leverage their summer and not lose the momentum of the progress their child has made. Whether it is catching up or getting ahead, Fusion can create a customized summer schedule to support the student’s educational needs, and do it in an exciting and interactive way.

Right now, Fusion is seeing students who are choosing to take their foreign language class, focus on ACT/SAT prep, or even challenge themselves with advanced classes in pre-calculus or calculus. With over 250 classes for students to choose from, Fusion is bound to have something that will interest even the most resistant student. We can even use this time to take advantage of the summer exploratory option which allows students to get a credit for a class while also trying their hand at a creative class like music or art. We have seen students use this time for college readiness by receving executive functioning support which can include skill building, tutoring and/ or mentoring, as well as study help.

How to Enroll at Fusion

Enrolling at Fusion is easy. And while a student can enroll at any time, it is important to note that if you want a certain schedule {Fusion has class times from 7:30am – 7:30pm} … then enrolling early is key.  Not ready to enroll just yet, but wanting to check out Fusion Academy more?  Then join us at our next event on Friday, June 30th at 12pm for our Open House BBQ.

Elizabeth Beguerie, Fusion Academy’s Head of School

Elizabeth Beguerie helped open Fusion Houston Galleria almost three years ago as the Director of Admissions and Outreach. She worked with the community in finding resources for families and worked with potential students to see if Fusion would be the right fit for them. Before she came to Fusion, Elizabeth worked in higher education as an instructor, recruiter, and advisor. With two children of her own she understands that a child’s educational needs are unique and wants every child to thrive in their school environment.
